  • Completely-in-the-canal (CIC) The smallest digital hearing aid available, it is almost invisible in the ear. These digital hearing aids are suitable only for people with ear canals large enough to accommodate the whole hearing aid. Used for mild to moderate hearing losses.
  • In-the-canal (ITC) This digital hearing aid is a bit larger than the CIC type. It is normally used in cases of mild to moderate hearing loss.
  • In-the-ear (ITE) ITE digital hearing aids are larger, and may offer more features. They also accommodate larger receivers. This hearing aid is easier to handle than CICs.
  • Behind-the-ear (OTE) These digital hearing aids are suitable for treatment of a wide range of hearing losses. Placed outside the ear, this design is still extremely discreet.

These hearing aids are most suitable for a person with a varied lifestyle who is usually in different listening environments.
Advanced digital - Such models include Aikia and Vigo Pro. There are less channels for compensation of hearing loss. Single channel adaptive directionality which is less effective in noise. Less high-tech features so therefore it is suitable in less environments. This level is usually suitable for most types of people.
Basic digital - Models in this range include Flash, Real and Destiny 400. This level offers the least channels for compensation of hearing loss. This option only offers single channel fixed directionality which is less effective in noise. This range is suitable for people who have a less variable lifestyle.
